Beware Those Who Suddenly Reappear in Your Life
They usually have a hidden agenda, i.e. to sell me some product or service that I don't need.
One day I received a message on Facebook from an old classmate. We added each other on FB a couple of years ago and that was probably the only way we kept in contact - by browsing each other's profile occasionally to see what each of us is up to.
Anway, I didn't have time to reply and after a couple of days I received an email from this same person. She found my email through my FB profile.
This time I replied her email. And her lightning speed reply proved my theory right. Here is an excerpt of her email, complete and unabridged, hehehe:
"By the way, just to let u know that I'm now doing part time in Nu Skin business (heard of it before?)
If you know of some one who is overweight and wanted to reduce or slim down (not only for beauty sake but also for health sake) pls do let me know.
This product work wonders for all my husband family members and they have finally regain their health (high cholestrol, leg pain, etc) without side effects. (no purging like some other products)
As you know being overwight is no good and will cause many complication later in our lives, so pls do let me know if you know of any1 interested to lose wieight.
I attahced some link about TRA (The Right Transformation) and testimonials of my husband family members.
But i think u defintely are not overweight! hahah still slim as ever!:)) That say i saw ur sis, i think she put on weight huh! you can forward to her if you dont mind:) Every gal aims for a slimmer body!
If you need any product for skin care (anti aging is their forte!) then do look for me too! The spa machine is terrific! I'm using it now (just started) , coz i dont go for facial.. (do u?)
and much cheaper than go for facial
** If you would like to hear more abt Nuskin business, do let me know. Once you build your network, the $ is very good:))"
And this was my reply to her:
Dear (Name of Idiot),
Whenever any old friend re-appears in my life after not bothering to keep in touch for donkey years, most of the time they have something to sell. And you've proven my hypothesis correct once again!
When you became a mother, I left congratulatory comments in your FB but you didn't bother to send any note or reply. But now you want to sell me Nu Skin?! What makes you think I'll even bother to meet up with you? Or even to buy your products?
Think about it and please don't contact me again.

Chinese Using Fingers to Eat
Whenever a Chinese eats with her fingers in public, you can be sure of getting many stares and comments.
The Malays and Indians will usually be impressed and encouraging, whilst the Chinese will usually give negative comments which pisses me off. Here are a few recent incidences when I used my fingers to eat:
1) I was using my fingers to whack rice, thick Indian curry and vegetables at a small shop opposite my office. A few Chinese bitches walked in and when they saw me, they whispered in Cantonese amongst themselves in a digusted tone, "Eee... ah... eating with fingers."
2) I was eating nasi briyani with fingers in my office cubicle. One of my Malay colleague walked pass me looking puzzled. She said she feels awkward seeing a Chinese using fingers to eat because she has never seen any Chinese eating with their fingers before! Apparently I'm the first!
3) At an office dinner, I was eating with my fingers. A Malay collague sitting beside me and using fork and spoon said rather embarassingly, "You Cina pun makan dengan tangan, saya pula guna sudu dan garpu." (Translation: "You're a Chinese but you eat with your fingers. I'm a Malay but yet I eat using fork and spoon")
Isn't it a shame there are many Malaysian Chinese who are not open towards other cultures? What is so wrong about using your fingers to eat, even if it's not part of your own culture?
Living in a multicultural and multiracial country like Malaysia, these close minded Malaysian Chinese needs to learn to experience the culture of their fellow Malaysians.
In fact, wouldn't it be an advantage being able to eat using all possible ways - fork & spoon, fork & knife, chopsticks and even with the fingers?
I wonder whether the Malays and Indians make nasty comments whenever they see their own kind eat with chopsticks.
Let me tell you a few reasons why I use fingers to eat:
a) My dad was a Peranakan from Malacca and so we all ate with our fingers at home, with the exception of my mum who is pure Chinese. If you want to know the difference between a Peranakan and a Chinese, go Google it. Too long to explain lah.
b) Eating banana leaf rice or any other rice dishes like nasi beriyani, nasi tomato and nasi minyak tastes much better when eaten using fingers ;-)
c) If I use cutlery to eat at home or in the office, I would have to wash 'em after use and I don't want to pollute the waters with the washing liquid. So I'd rather use fingers whenever I can.
So the next time you see a Chinese gal eating with her fingers in public, don't make any negative comments cause the gal could be me, and then my finger prints are gonna end up on your face when I beat the crap out of you.

Batangs in the KTM Komuter Ladies Coach
We ladies can't do anything but look at them in disgust. Nobody wants to take the risk of getting spat and shouted at if we tell these batangs to change coach.
One lady passenger commented at the top of her voice: "IF THESE MEN CAN GET INTO THE LADIES COACH, THEY CANNOT BE GENTLEMEN AT ALL!" The guy sitting beside me was fidgeting in his seat when he heard the lady. But he didn't budge.
The only people who can get these uneducated batangs to change coach are the polis bantuan or KTM Komuter employees in uniform.
I've witnessed for myself in KL Sentral when the polis bantuan came on board the Ladies Coach and asked all the batangs to get out. And the batangs moved their asses immediately because they know the polis bantuan will belasah them if they objected.
Sometimes I wonder whether these batangs are unaware of the Ladies Coach, or are they just plain defiant.
Coaches specially for ladies have been implemented in countries like Japan and Egypt. I don't know bout Japan (cause I haven't been there), but when I was in Cairo and used the LRT frequently, I didn't see any batangs in the Ladies Coach at all. I guess the men there are more capable of following simple instructions compared to their Malaysian counterparts.
Of course not all Malaysian men are idiotic batangs who can't follow instructions. I've seen many male commuters who immediately enter the both sexes coaches when the Ladies Coach stops in front of them. Kudos to this group of commuters. To the rest of the batangs, please go for a sex change if you're so eager to sit in the Ladies Coach.

Desperate Headhunters
In my previous employment, a headhunter called up the Corporate Communications (Corp Comm in short) department looking for the person in-charge of Corp Comm. She introduced herself as a "conference organiser" who wants to promote a Corp Comm conference to the person in-charge of Corp Comm in my company.
When the departmental secretary put her through to me, the secretary explained to me briefly about what the "conference organiser" wanted.
When we finally connected, the "conference organiser" told me she's a headhunter and asked if I would be interested in exploring a Corp Comm position with another company. I was irritated at the way she lied her way through and I politely told her I was not interested.
Do you think that was a correct way for headhunters to look for candidates?

Malaysians Who Know Nothing About Malaysia
After that we headed to Hard Rock Cafe to meet up with my friend Sue. When we got there Sue was sitting with two other girls whom I've never seen before.
The two girls started asking about Chris - who is he, what's he doing in KL, what he does for a living, etc. I've never seen these pussies before, but at the rate they were interrogating us, I thought they were going to ask how many times I fark Chris in a day.
Then one of the girls who was heavily made up, dressed sexily and looked high maintenance asked where did we go before landing in Hard Rock Cafe.
When I told her I brought Chris to Little Penang Cafe because I wanted him to try some Malaysian food, Ms High Maintenance confidently said I should have brought him to try Nasi Padang cause it's a Malaysian dish.
I couldn't believe my ears!
Looks like under all that exterior, Ms High Maintenance ain't that bright after all. I thought she was a complete bimbo for not knowing her own kind of food. And I hate it when people think they are smart when they are actually airheads.
So I said, "Nasi Padang is from Indonesia lah ..."
And she said, "Oh yeah ..." and then became silent for awhile. Soon she moved towards the bar to rub herself against some guy.
After that incident it occured to me that there may be tourists coming to Malaysia and meeting up with their Malaysian friends hoping to learn about the country. But what if their Malaysian friends know next to nuts about the country and provide wrong information to their foreign friends, like that bimbo I met in Hard Rock Cafe.
If Chris had been her friend, he would have gone back to Austria thinking that Nasi Padang is a Malaysian dish!
I have also personally witnessed a tourist asking a Malaysian girl on the Putra LRT which station should he get off if he wants to get to Chinatown. The stupid girl just shrugged her shoulders and the tourist turned away in frustration.
As a person who loves knowledge, I cringe thinking about the blatant ignorance of Malaysians about their own country, and not to mention, at the growing number of bimbos.

4 Reasons to Get "Unfriend"
We all have unfriend someone and we ourselves could have been unfriend by others. If you belong to the latter, have you wondered why you got yourself unfriend? Here are 4 main reasons, told from my personal experiences:
1) You pissed someone off.
There are so many reasons to this - you guys had a fall-out, you said or did something that offended the other person, and the list goes on.
One of my colleague got unfriend cause he made some comments on one of his friend's photo on Facebook.
The moral of the story here is to think before you make any comments online because something you find amusing could be offensive to another.
2) You are no longer important to that person.
Steven added me because we had friends in common. We chatted online a couple of times on Facebook. When I realised he wanted to become more than friends, and I was not interested, he unfriend me.
I've encountered few other guys who were looking for the same thing as Steven. But when I turned them down, we remained on each others friend list cause even if I'm not interested in that kind of way, we can still remain friends, right? But Steven was different; I guess his ego must have taken a beating when I turned him down. Well, what can I say ...
3) You didn't bother to keep in touch.
I was introduced to Ken through a mutual friend while at Hard Rock Cafe in KL. It was me and my big mouth who suggested that we add each other on Facebook.
Ken told me he only wants to have 30 friends in his friends list, and that he will delete anyone who doesn't keep in touch.
A criteria he sets for anyone who wants to remain in his friends list is that they must send him a message every week at a minimum. And get this: he don't have to send any message to his friends, it is they who must send him one in order to remain on his friends list.
I thought he was joking when he told me all this. After all, which idiot would have such unfair, selfish and stupid criterias to keep friends. But I found out soon enough that he was not joking. And he proved himself to be an unfair, selfish and stupid idiot.
4) You got unfriend for no reason what-so-ever.
I saved the best stories for last. Here are 2 stories how I got unfriend for no reason what-so-ever:
Story 1
Galen is a nice fella with lots of ambition and a heart for charity. I remember he was training to climb K2 for charity. We corresponded occasionally via Facebook. But one day I discovered he had unfriend me.
I tracked back all our correspondence to see if I had offended him in any way, but nothing. I'm still wondering why he did what he did.
Story 2
Like Galen, Spencer and I would send an occasional message to see how each other is doing. We would also send flowers occassionally using the Growing Gifts application.
One fine day, Spencer sends me a message saying he is in China indefinitely. When I asked him what was he doing there, he didn't reply. Since he was in this part of the world, I invited him to drop by Malaysia on his way back to England, but he didn't say anything.
When I browsed his photos, it looked like Spencer went to China to meet a girl.
I also saw a comment on his wall from a lady saying she's unhappy that he had unfriend her for no reason. Not long after reading that comment, I discovered Spencer had unfriend me too.
I think his Chinese girlfriend must have been insecured seeing that her Mat Salleh (Caucasian) boyfriend has a hot looking Chinese chick in his friend's list and she must have squeezed him by the balls to unfriend me, muahahaha ...
In Conclusion ...
I was rather disappointed when I found out I got unfriend. If I had pissed any of them off then they have every right to unfriend me. But I'm not guilty of that.
Then I asked myself why should I get disappointed? Is my life gonna get any more meaningful knowing that I'm on the friends list of these people? The answer is 'no' cause I didn't have a "real" relationship with these people in the first place.
It just goes to show that people you meet online are merely faces. Some of them may move on to become acquaintances and some into close friends.
But unless and until we have a real connection with our friends, or we work at nurturing our online relationships, we are all gonna continue unfriend-ing each other. So let nature take its cause and don't fret if you get unfriend.

Plagiarism is Plagiarism
And he brought his entire army of 5 person's to stand by him.
For the sake of transparency and to let you know what type of person Jason and his friends are, I've approved all comments (nasty and not so nasty) from him and his friends on my blog.
You can read their comments by clicking here, here and here. Scroll down to the bottom of each page and read what they've written.
Now let's get down to what Jason & Friends have written.
Point Number 1
In Jason's reply to my comment not to plagiarise anyone's work, he wrote this sentence:
"The answers were there as well.AND I DID NOT COPY AY OF THEM. I merely used them as reference to insert my own answers. "
What does "used them as reference to insert my own answers" mean? To me, it could only mean one thing - copying someone else's work.
Point Number 2
Some of Jason's friends said it's pure coincidence that what we wrote were similiar.
Well, like I said in my previous blog:
"What are the chances in the universe that 2 individuals who have never met would have written the exact same sentence: "I wouldn't be a crayon in the first place. I'd be a Mont Blanc." (Q20)?"
Exact same choice of words and exact same example. He could have used Caran d'Ache as an example.
So did Jason plagiarise my work or not? You be the judge.
Point Number 3
Jason also wrote this sentence in his entry:
"For fuck's sake its just a tagged survey that we do for fun! What's up with the fuss??"
Well Jason, let me ask you one thing. How would you like it if someone use your work and claim it as theirs. Wouldn't you be mad as well?
Those who are in the creative field like song writing, photography, writing, etc. would understand what I'm saying.
This might seem trivial to some of you, but plagiarism is stealing someone else's intellectual property, no matter how small it is. In fact, small plagiarisms could lead to bigger ones.
Point Number 4
In Jason's blog entry, he wrote this sentence:
"If it wasn't for the comment you posted me this afternoon, I wouldn't know you blog ever existed!"
Now let's go back to the beginning ...
How the hell would I know that Jason existed to know that he plagiarised my work in the first place? Who would have given me the tip-off?
Let me tell you how I found out that Jason visited my blog - it was through Nuffnang.
I was checking my Nuffnang account and saw that Jason was a Nuffnanger who recently read my blog. I'm always curious and grateful to see who are the people who dropped by my blog. So I clicked on the link and low and behold, there was my some of my work right before my eyes.
That was how I found out about a Jason Tan who was reading my blog. Otherwise I wouldn't even know that he existed!
My biggest guess is that he was looking for material to blog about, snooped around in Nuffnang, read my blog and snitched ideas from there.
Point Number 5
One of Jason's friends, shameonyou (a.k.a. no-balls-to-admit-real-name) wrote this:
"... c'mon, guessed u're already a WORKING LADY, let's say 20-ish yet u're posting a post about some college guy copying ur ans. err...only primary kids do that."
Are you saying that it's ok for a younger person to plagiarise from an older person?
Plagiarism is plagiarism, whether it's committed by a college student, a 10-year-old kid or a 70-year-old person. And it's definitely NOT ok.
Jason & Friends can say what they want, verbal attack all they want, but I'm not going to say anything more because it's pointless arguing with a bunch of college students who condone plagiarism and who wouldn't admit their mistake.
I rest my case.Monday, 6 July 2009
Someone Has Plagiarised My Blog
In case you're wondering, these questions were circulating in Facebook not too long ago. People would post their personal answers to the questions and tag their friends to answer too so that they can get to know each other better.
You can click here to read my Q&A. Then click here to read what Jason has 'written'.
If you notice, Jason's answers for Numbers 6, 11, 14, 38, 44, 45 and 46 are similar to mine. I give him benefit of the doubt for that because people could have similar answers.
However, his answers for Numbers 4, 17 and 20 are EXACTLY similar to mine, written word for word.
What are the chances in the universe that 2 individuals who have never met would have written the exact same sentence: "I wouldn't be a crayon in the first place. I'd be a Mont Blanc." (Q20)?
Like they say, "Kalau nak tiru pun ... tirulah pandai-pandai". (Translation: "If you want to copy, copy intelligently")
Obviously Jason is not pandai (clever) at all.
I left a message on Jason's blog not to plagiarise another person's writing again. And he left a defensive reply which is a load of bullshit. And one of his friends, Chin Hong Lin has posted a reply in support of Jason.
Hong Lin says in his 'perfect' English, "The answer is seriously soo simply even my little bro 10 years old might even giving the same answer."
What a bunch of fuckhead college students!
By the way, if you go to Jason's blog, you'll see that he calls himself 'ToiletPaper' in his Plurk journal widget. You can find the widget on the right side of his blog.
Now which sane human being would refer to himself as paper that you use to wipe your arse with? Only someone suffering from dementia would do that, that's what. Maybe that's why he needed to copy my answers in the first place.
So Jason ... if you're reading this, don't be an arsehole and remove or modify that particular entry if you have a conscience.

Hunt Down All Non-Moving Water Meters
I received a letter from the management of my apartment. The letter informed that my water meter was not working. I had to get a new one within one week, otherwise they'll simply bang a higher water bill for my unit.
So I called up the management office yesterday to ask how did they know my meter was not working.
The moronic officer who answered my call said that all units that have a low meter reading or meters that didn't move will have to change their meter because it is assumed that it's not working. WTF!
He cannot make such an assumption because each apartment unit would have a different number of residents - some units have small families, some have big families while some are vacant units. So the water consumption varies from unit to unit. And how the hell would he know how many residents each unit has?
Eventhough I was boiling inside, I held my cool and explained that I live alone with a housemate who is perpetually not there. I mop my whole unit once every 2 weeks and I send most of my clothes to the dobby. So my water consumption should be low.
Moreover I moved into the brand new apartment with a brand new water meter about 2 years ago and the reading has been consistent since then. So how can it not be working?
After giving Mr Moron my unit number, he rechecked and said that my meter is indeed moving albeit slowly, and therefore I don't need to change it! Wah ... so fast change mind ah?
Now I'm going to wait and see if my water bill next month will be higher than usual. You see, there's nothing in black and white to indicate that I don't have to change my water meter. Only the first letter remains. And if another moronic officer decides to follow-up on the case, I'm bound to get a higher water bill.
If that happens, I'm personally going to see whichever moron that's left in the management office and give him a piece of my mind.

Obnoxious People on the LRT and Bus
And as I snorkel with the rich marine life here, I'll try not to think about the obnoxious people I meet daily in the LRT and bus in KL.
I'm leaving them all behind for 4 glorious days!
1) People who refuse to move further into the LRT or bus. Their action deprives others from getting onto the train/bus. Everytime I encounter people like that, I feel like giving them a tight slap for being so inconsiderate.
2) People who take their own sweet time to get into the LRT. There was once I was rushing to get to work. The Monorail was just pulling into the station when I arrived. After grabbing my card from the turnstile, I made a dash for the train.
By that time the last few passengers were already stepping into the train, and the alarm (which signaled that the door was closing) was already ringing. And there was this girl who was swinging her arse as she slowly got in.
I made a dash and pushed the stupid bitch into the train before the door closed. I got clipped a little by the door but I managed to get to work on time.
3) People who lean against me on the bus. The other day there was this woman who leaned her tummy on my shoulder as I sat in the bus. And her tummy looked like it contained triplets, so imagine the toil it took on my shoulder. Luckily she moved further into the bus soon after that.
Oh yeah, I've also encountered a guy was getting a hard-on using my shoulder. WTF !!!
4) People who sit 'kangkang' (legs wide open). The culprits are usually guys who need ventilation for their 'goods' or they are just being hum-sup (cheeky?) and want to brush their legs against the girl sitting beside them.
5) People who lean against the pole in the LRT or bus where you hang on for dear life. When I encounter jerks like that, I normally squeeze my fingers around the pole and they get the idea and move away.
But there are some who don't; like an incident I saw whilst on the KTM Komuter. A young girl was leaning against a seat, depriving an older lady of hanging onto it. The older lady advised the girl to move so that both of them can hold the seat together. The young girl just stared at her blankly and continued leaning!
So bye-bye obnoxious people, till we meet again ... soon.

Desperado & Stupido
I met TE briefly at a singles party. We never exchanged numbers after the event and that was that.
Six months later, my friend Ming Li whom I attended the singles party with, informed that TE wanted to invite the both of us for lunch. She also asked if it’s ok if she gave my number to TE who wanted to call me up personally to invite. I said ok.
The next day TE called and we chatted for about 10 minutes. He also asked me out for a drink the following day at Starbucks in Berjaya Times Square.
Fast-forward to the next day. A couple of hours before our meet-up at Starbucks, TE text me at the office.
“Julie, can I ask you a question? Or do you want me to ask you at Starbucks?”
“Go ahead, ask anything.”
“Julie, can you become my girlfriend?”
I was dumbfounded. Here was a guy whom I met briefly at a singles party, who didn’t bother to exchange numbers, who didn’t bother to make contact whatsoever for six months, and now here he is asking me to become his girlfriend after we chatted over the phone only once.
"Let’s discuss this at Starbucks," I said.
TE agree.
Now here's the best part of the story.
I arrived early at Starbucks and headed straight for the counter to get my drink. As I was paying for my drink, TE walked in. I waved and smiled at him. He looked at me and headed straight for the plush seats without even acknowledging me. I was bloody mad, and then I realised that he had forgotten how I looked like because we only met once 6 months ago at the singles party.
I got my drink and headed to where TE was sitting. The bloody bugger was texting on his mobile, probably wanted to tell me that he has arrived.
“Hey TE,” I said, “don’t you recognise me?”
TE looked up and the blood drained from his face - he knew he had made a big boo-boo.
Then TE had the bloody cheek to say that he saw me but he had to text his friend, which is a habit of his whenever he arrives at a certain place, or so he claims. WTF!
When I said, “Then how come you didn’t acknowledge me and went straight to the sofa?” TE was cornered; he kept quiet.
Then I told TE straight in the face, “You asked me to be your girlfriend and you don't even recognise me???!!!”
Just imagine asking somebody whom you’ve met only once, don’t know anything about and obviously can’t recognise, to become your girlfriend? In my books it’s clearly a case of desperado and stupido.
After a moment of silence when I allowed my blood pressure to subside, we started talking.
I learned that TE is in his mid-thirties and never had a steady girlfriend. He doesn’t have a proper job despite having a business degree from the United States and had a good job in the hotel industry there. His excuse was that he is looking for a job that will pay him equivalent to the job he had when he was in the United States.
Here is clearly another bum who makes you wonder why there are so many single ladies out there.
I told TE that we should remain friends but nothing more than that. I could tell that he was disappointed, but what do you expect me to do? Said 'yes' after what he did? TE contacted me a few times after that incident but I never responded. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

First Time at the Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix
I was amazed at the number of people there. Recession? What recession? Tickets that costs minimum RM500 were full of people. But I read in the papers that there were only 80,000 spectators this year compare to 120,000 at last years race.
When the race started I realized that listening to the sound of a Formula 1 car live is one of the most exhilarating sounds of adrenaline rush ever.

Next I’m going to bitch about the extremely poor service at the circuit.
We had to jostle and finally found 2 empty seats which were surrounded by foreign students.
As we were heading out of the place, I realised that Mr Orange just stood there and let every Tom, Dick and Harry walk in and plunk their arses wherever they wished. No wonder there were so many people in the Citrine seats that I thought the management had oversold the tickets.
DM said if we were to come back again next year, we’re gonna get Grandstand tickets so that we can get a good view of the drivers and their team in the paddock.
The speakers were one of the most atrocious speakers I’ve ever seen/heard. The sound muffled so badly and the voice constantly broke up. It was like having a conversation with a friend on a bad cellphone line. It was so bad that I couldn’t hear a word being announced. I didn’t even know that it was Jaclyn Victor who sang the Negaraku until I read about it in the papers the next day. I thought they were playing a recorded song.

Am I That Unrecognisable?
On that day, C said he’ll text me when he arrive at the lobby of my office building.
When I got out of the lift, I could see C waiting a distance away looking at the lifts to see if I got off any of ‘em. I started walking towards him and about 10 metres away I waved and smiled at him.
He stared at me, blankly.
WTF! I looked like an idiot waving at somebody who couldn’t recognize me! I mean come on, this is not the first time I’m meeting this bloody bugger.
When I approached him, I said, “Hey C, it’s me la. Don’t you recognize me?”
With the blank look still on his face, C looked at me and said, “Oh …,” to acknowledge that his stupid neurons have finally registered my face.
“Sorry, I’ve got a lot on my mind la,” C said.
My mind was urging me to scream, “Hey idiot, if you have lots on your mind, then don’t ask me out for lunch. You ask me out and then you behave like you don't know me. Everybody also got lots on their mind la, not only you!”
But it’s the season of Lent, so I said, “Eh friend, next time acknowledge la,” albeit irritatingly.
C apologized after hearing the tone in my voice, but the damage has been done.
Maybe I should stop going out for lunches with this loser.
P/S If you think C is a loser, wait till you read about TE, in my next entry.

Banana at the Salon
I was at the hairdressers on Sunday to trim my fringe. Katy, the hairdresser has known me for donkey years. And knowing that I'm a 'banana', she will speak to me in Bahasa Malaysia whenever I drop by for a trim.
Last Sunday when I dropped by the salon, there were two other Chinese ladies getting their hair permed. Both of them had their hair in curlers and one of them stepped out of the salon to go to her apartment unit which is in the same block. The other one remained in her seat and read a magazine while waiting for her hair to set.
Katy asked me to take a seat and started chatting with me in Bahasa Malaysia, as always.
The Chinese lady who was getting her hair permed immediatly asked Katy in Hokkien why I'm speaking in Bahasa Malaysia, am I a Chinese or not, etc.
All these talk in front of me as if though I'm Invisible Woman got me pissed. I said loudly in Bahasa Malaysia to Katy, "Katy, you beritahu dia, saya paham apa dia cakap." (Translation: "Katy, tell her I understand what she's saying").
The lady was stunned. Katy quickly intervened and told her in Hokkien that I'm a Nyonya and eventhough I can't speak Chinese, I understand what's being said. That shut her up.
After trimming my fringe, the other lady walked in. When she heard Katy and I conversing in Bahasa Malaysia, again she asked Katy in Hokkien why I'm speaking in Bahasa Malaysia, am I a Chinese or not, yadda yadda yadda ... It was like a badly rewound tape recycled from the first lady.
This time I said to Katy loudly and stared at the lady, "Ini lagi satu, fikir saya tak boleh paham." (Translation: "This is another one who thinks I don't understand"). That sentence produced a second stunned lady of the day. I paid Katy and walked out of the salon.

Valentine's Day & A Super Prick
My secret friend told me to watch out for the flowers and when the bouquet arrived at my office, I quietly collected them from the delivery guy and went back to my cubicle.
The super prick who sits in the next cubicle saw me carrying the bouquet.
"Who sent them?"
"Somebody. Can't tell you who".
I don't usually share my private life with my colleagues. They don't know who my social friends are or who I go out with. And I intend to keep it that way.
"I think you sent the flowers to yourself. People have done it before," super prick said in the most jealous and condescending manner.
When I heard that, I was about to burst and tell him off. But then again my 'sympathy' towards super prick got the better of me.
You see, super prick never had and never will have a girlfriend cause girls are repulsed by the sight of him and his behaviour. He is so repulsive, even prostitutes wouldn't want to do business with him.
So STYK, don't be jealous just because I received flowers and you don't have a chance to send any. You won't have the chance ever, so please learn to accept it. But the hardest part would be learning to live with yourself.
